So yesterday I found another purpose for sanctuary ...
I was found myself in a moment asking some pretty hard questions of God. And I realize that this too is what sanctuary is about ... it's a place to hold all those questions until we stand face2face with our maker and finally get the answers ... a sanctuary is a pretty safe place to ask such questions ... so I wondered if you'd like to join me in offering those questions we ask of God. Because even here in this cyber-sanctuary, God is indeed big enough and safe enough to take any of our questions.
the funny thing is if we don't ask questions of God, then we don't grow. Through questions, God leads us forward on our pilgrimage... Let it never be said that questions are a bad thing or a sign of doubt.

Why?
Lord, in this time of questioning, please guide us in answering our questions. You know us better than anyone, and You know what we need right now to sustain us. Please give us what we need right now, no matter where we are spiritually, physically or emotionally, guide us on our journey to become closer to You. With the help of others, please help us find comfort, guidance, understanding, and fellowship during this time. In Jesus's name I pray, Amen.
In other words, sometimes God allows us to go through things to draw us closer to HIm. Other times it is for His glory that we go through trials. And still other times, these things aren't for any reason but an attack of the enemy. We don't necessarily know when its an attack or simply a trial allowed by God, but we do know that we have to trust God.
